Bonalu Festival, celebrated across Telangana during July–August 2026, is one of the state’s most vibrant and sacred Hindu festivals dedicated to Goddess Mahakali. The festival is celebrated as an expression of gratitude to the Divine Mother for protecting devotees from diseases, hardships, and negative energies. Women offer beautifully decorated Bonam pots filled with cooked rice, jaggery, curd, and neem leaves, while temples come alive with colorful processions, traditional music, folk dances, and devotional celebrations.
